Wait, the 'last undeveloped area of the world' is the Eastern Shore of Virginia? Like, the state of Virginia, in the US? Because even the more rural areas around Mathews have a population density higher then most of Indiana. And in the Australian Outback there are areas the SIZE of Virginia that have fewer people then the lowest population Zip Code area in Virginia (Low Moor, 24457, 379 as of 2011)
First, Thanks for reading! I appreciate your comments. While the eastern shore of VA may not be the most sparsely populated area on the planet, It is what I know. I lived in a small town of 500 people on the eastern shore. The county there fought for years against the construction of a walmart as well as other larger chains from the mainland VA as well as Maryland. Writing this, I made the assumption that whatever century this storyline takes place in, that stubbornness persisted and the rest of the world build up around it while Virginia didn't.
Again, thanks for reading and I hope this one complaint doesn't keep you from enjoying the rest of the comic.
